Siti Hawa
A name of the owner Sita Hawa, named after the wife of Adam, Eve and running a homestay with the same name Siti Hawa. She’s married with Husin Abdullah and together they have two sons, Azis and Rizal.
She is famous for her cooking and later on I’ll show you some writings from guests to give you an impression about her cooking and about Siti Hawa
The homestay is located 3 km south of the main tourist centre Senggigi just out of the tourist zone in Batulayar, pleasant cottages in a garden setting right on the beach. If you come from the airport “Selaparang” in Ampenan you choose direction Senggigi. At the first traffic-lights at the local market in Ampenan “Kebon Roek” you turn right, this leads you north first passing a graveyard “Bintaro” with Chinese, Christian and Muslim graves, a bridge crossing the Meninting River, and a petrol station “Pertamina”. Arriving at the first village Montong you’ll see a Welcome Gate with illuminated palm-trees and pictures. From here Siti Hawa is still another 2 kilometres – first the road goes straight until Hotel Jayakarta on your left and a Balinese temple on your right, then a left and right winding where you can get a glimpse of the sea on the left side. Now you’re getting close an office “Kantor Camat”, elementary school “SD 1 Batulayar” on your right, some small hotels left and right then big signs of karaoke “Belina” on your right and there you’ll find signs of “Pondok Siti Hawa” on your left…
